Jim is 47 years old and loves all aspects of real estate. He's been building quality custom homes and developing communities on Lake Conroe for 17 years. He has a loving wife that he met in High School and two beautiful children (ages 14 and 16) - possibly the future owners of Winkler and Associates, Inc. Comments from Jim: "We've seen huge changes in the growth of our Lake area in the last 17 years. I remember when I first started the company in 1992, we would take out our boat and cruise the entire shoreline of the lake. Back then there were 25 vacant lots for every one home on the lake. Today, there are 25 homes for every vacant lot. Lakefront property is virtually nonexistent today. Highway 105 used to be a two lane farm road, now it's a six-lane major highway connecting Houston, the fourth largest city in the United States, to our beautiful lake area. The best part of my job is meeting new people that want to move to the lake area or buy a vacation home here - Lake people are fun and know how to have a good time. Meeting new people and adding to our client base motivates me. My current goals are to figure out how to get a little more time off from work so I can enjoy more time with the family and spend time on our new boat. See you at the Lake."

Lynn Winkler, Design Coordinator

Every decorator item seen in a Winkler home was selected by Lynn. She handles the selection of paint colors, tile selection, stucco colors, appliances, decorator plumbing and light fixtures - the list goes on and on. Even the furniture in the model homes was personally selected by Lynn. The biggest compliment to Lynn is that everyone that previews a Winkler home wants to know who the decorator is and if they can hire her for their personal home… "NO," says Lynn's husband, "when we have free time, we're going out on the lake in the new boat to experience a sunset cruise."

Charles Golden, Lead Superintendent/Quality Control

Charles is Jim's "right hand man" and just celebrated his tenth anniversary with the company. Charles' best talents are attention to detail and demanding top quality from contractors. His excellent communication skills with our homeowners and his ability to relate to the contractors sets Charles apart from all other supervisors. Charles' last name, "Golden," says it all.

Kim Mercer, Sales and Marketing Director

Kim has been with the company for over four years. Kim met Jim Winkler through the local soccer league - their sons are the same age. Jim asked Kim if she would join our team and handle the sales of real estate. Kim said she had no sales experience. Jim prompted her to give it a try and for Kim to be herself - she's got a great people personality and she's honest - she's a natural for our lake front lifestyle. Kim started when the Paradise Point Condos development began construction and over the next two years, Kim has sold all of the 48 condos. Great job Kim!!

Kenny Walton, Creative Director

Kenny's marketing talents can be exhibited in each and every marketing brochure that is distributed by Winkler and Associates, Inc. He creates and manages the web sites and creates DVD presentations of virtual tours of our homes. Every ad in every publication was designed by…. You guessed it - Kenny. Kenny was looking for a job six years ago when he met Jim Winkler. He asked if Winkler and Associates, Inc. was hiring for a Marketing Director and left a video of a recruiting advertisement that Kenny did for the US Navy. The video sat on Jim's desk for three weeks before Jim had a chance to preview it. When he finally got around to watching the video, Jim was ready to join the Navy. Kenny does great work!!!
